Why don't all the people with 100K+ get taxed and people with <10K get welfare! Then we can close the gap between rich and poor without nerfing any build AND discourage hording and farming.

I hate to say it, but that's a terribly stupid idea. Rich people generally worked for their money, even if it was farming griffons over and over. People would then just buy up ectos, then get "welfare" until they have enough to buy more ecto.

well, this would mean something like communism. Communism is proved not working, altough it sounds nice.

Say i have 99k. why should i farm more? it will make players lazy. And the beggers rejoice. yay, fee gold. i'd spend all my gold on things like 15k armor, and stand in line to receive benefit. or do you wish to include those in weathcalculation? and if i only have multiple 15k armors, how would i 'pay'?

as if being "poor" in the game was something you can't do anything about, just go a couple of times in the FoW and gold will start flowing.

Hopefully this is a joke thread. Besides, money is pathetically easy to come by. It just takes time the lazy people don't want to invest. Also, no one needs 100k to be competitive.

I dont like this idea. People can get gold if they really want to. What will be the incentive to people who actually spend time to get gold? Why go out of town when you will just be given gold anyway?

The rich don't owe the poor gold.

I hate it when someone begs for gold and when you tell him to just go outside town and kill some, he responds that he doesnt want to because it takes time.

Sorry for the rant. I just don't like this idea.

That would be awesome. Perhaps by introducing socialism into a game world, the kids in high school and college will finally realize how much America has gone down that path in the real world in the name of fairness and compassion. Might have a chance of getting through the indoctrination they have received.

Theres a small (miniscule even) difference between keeping people fed and letting people get 15k armor.

Horrible idea though, gold is easy to come by in this game and has very little use outside of cosmetic things.
